A leading organisation based in Brentford is currently looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a busy and close-knit team on a permanent basis.
Role:
The role is to provide support and technical advice, the role will require a high level of technical proficiency and you will need to be an excellent communicator. The candidate will have a firm background in Microsoft technologies and have experience working in a similar environment.
Duties will include:
Helpdesk and call management
2nd line support remotely and mainly on-site~
Dealing with client internal IT teams and stakeholders
Managing 3rd Party support requests
Engaging with the internal 1st/2nd & 3rd Line team to assist with customer fault/problem resolution and transfer knowledge verbally and via documented knowledge base articles
Technical Knowledge:
Essential:
- Desktop platforms including Windows 10/11 and MAC Operating Systems
- Excellent understanding of networking including vLANs, switching, NAT rules and Firewalls
- Microsoft AD, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Profiles, Group Policies
- Office 365
- Mimecast
- SonicWall/Sophos XG Firewalls
Desirable:
- Halo & N-able Central
- Aruba Switches/Aruba AirView
- Hypervisor technology specifically VMWare & Hyper-V
- Azure
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 to 2016
- Windows Defender
- ITIL environment
